Someone said to me: "You should be on CompuServe. They offer 100 hours
free time a month, which is a better deal than what you get"
I must confess I didn't know what to say except that they're a wholly
owned subsidiary of AOL, as if that said it all.
The name even sounds dodgy to me, although they have a long history, since
1969 (!).
"Founded in 1969 as a computer time-sharing service, Columbus,
Ohio-based CompuServe drove the initial emergence of the online service\
industry. In 1979, CompuServe became the first service
to offer electronic mail capabilities and technical support to personal
computer users. CompuServe broke new ground again in 1980 as
the first online service to offer real-time chat online with its CB
Simulator."
What do you say. It's not like me after all to reject something for purely
emotional/intuitive reasons.
