I've had a compuserve account since 1995 - while their ppp service can be mind
numbingly slow, it is very handy to have if you travel o/s with a laptop since
they have local call dial-up sites virtually everywhere. Aside from that, it's
much like its parent company (A.O.Hell) although Compuserve has much more
history. You can apparently still use all their old "Compuserve Information
Services" on an 8086, one place I went still had a 2400 baud dial-in line.
If the 100 hours are free with no strings, why not? Download RH6.2 or something
and see how it goes. Then move on to the next guy giving 100 hours free.
