I thought it might be helpful if we could set up a computer and a
"simulated telephone exchange" (without any switching) at the
InstallFest.
The idea being that we would provide a single phone line which could be
used to test the user's ppp configurations.
The question is how should the "dummy ISP" be set up? What protocols
should be implemented? (CHAT, PAP, CHAP)
I understand Jamie has a device which can be inserted between the two
modems. Can anyone who knows about such things come to the 'Fest and
set up such a system?
