why's that? you can dial out through pabx's and convert between
different types of sockets?
On the other subject of some way of faking a phone line, you can
buy devices for just that purpose, there's one mob that sell them
that advertise in APC mag - they have a whole page on all sorts
of phone gizmos (eg. picking up one extension cuts off all the
others, allow transferring calls between extensions etc etc
all without a pabx).
