Is it possible to re-position the partition table again to what it was
before? (fdisk)
Chances are the files are still there.
You have to get it exactly right, ie what you wrote down when you initially
set the machine up.
Otherwise, after re-partitioning it to what it was, you might have to
re-load everything from your backup tapes or disks.
You did have backups... yes?
Also you might have to put lilo back on.
