I guess Appleshare would be running over IP so all you can do is either ACL
the peoples machines or password the proxy... I've never used proxy
passwords but if it's anything like Windo$e, it'll ask for a password when
opening a browser..

I know zip about Appleshare but a customer suggested that it would be nice
if they could authenticate users against AppleShare logins. The intention
would be to use this to allow them squid proxy access. I have done a
similar thing with Squid authenticating against NT users via smbclient
essentially.
