I think you missed my point, so here's the idea:-
Mac browser attempts access to website
Squid checks if 'logged in' to the proxy
assuming not logged in, the proxy then prompts the user for login &
password.
Squid takes the login and password and uses the appleshare protocol to
talk to a designated server.
Squid asks the server a) is this user OK or b) here's my login & password
give me a token file. Option b) is the way smb_auth works.
If the server OK's the user or returns the file proxy access is granted
otherwise access is denied.
