But what about all the searching with regex etc. I find d/} very useful and also the . command. The search and replace is much more powerful as well. I am sure lots of others have their favourite features. I am very happy for you to use notepad but don't tell me to get with the program because I want to use something which for me is more functional. I don't want everyone else to use Linux and vi, *but* I do want to use it myself. (Not trying to have a go at you specifically Matt).
