As far as i can remember that is the case, I had to install it from scratch.
you can do: rpm -q m4
which as you say prob won't work. You will prob need to get it :/

I dunno, but maybe linuxconf can help. Tho the version with 6.1 was a bit
dodgy for sendmail i think....
