Has anyone had any luck getting openssl/mod_ssl working? I found some
good documention for ssleay which seems to work ok with openssl, and I've
created my own certificate and a site key, but when I start Apache with
the SSLEngine on and the certificates configured it hangs - no error
messages, just never starts up... But if I use the dummy certificate
and key that come with mod_ssl, they work ok.

Does anyone know of good "creating certificates with openssl"
documentation?
        http://www.ultranet.com/~fhirsch/Papers/cook/ssl_cook.html
is nice and thorough, but although it _seems_ to work ok with openssl
it assumes ssleay, and I suspect that may be the problem.

I'm using
        mod_ssl-2.6.3-1
        openssl-0.9.5-2
        apache-1.3.12-2

(all off standard Redhat/Redhat security addon RPMs)

Danny.
