HA - you don't know the 1/2 of it.... In a previous contract, I had to
manage the conversion of 375 (l)users in a Court from M$mail to Lotus Notes
(oops.... nearly typed Coitus Notes - mind wanders at my age...:-)) - the
conversion utility we HAD to use (THEIR decision, not mine !!) dies in the
bum every 100 messages approximately.
In typical MicroSloth style, you re-ran it, it examined the previous 100
messages, determined it had done them, then started on the next 100 - then
died - then read the previous 200... you get the drift...
Most users were fairly fast (hours <= 5 or so), but a few users had (and I
kid you not) - mailboxes in excess of 500Mb !! When the benefits of mail
"purging" were pointed out, we were told "But I NEED all of those, and not
stored on a CD either - I need them on the hard drive"
1 user took 4.5 days to convert, and had mail almost 5 years old....
AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Is it any wonder I *refuse* to do desktop support any more ??
