pine can be patched to support Maildir... , and the generic pop and imap
server also has a patch....

Procmail does deliveries to Maildir fine.....

200mb in one mbox?  Wow!!!!
Surely that takes about half an hour to modify....
The change is quite easy.... there is an mbox to Maildir utility.... I've
never made any huge conversions mind you.... 30 users with small boxes.

If its working don't fix it.... I'd make regular backups of your file
though.... One stuff up by your client and boom no more mail.
