THANKS!! That cleared up a few things, now I can get down to sorting out what I need,
and what I don't.
Another q.
I've mounted my windoze drive under mnt/DOS/ and 'mount' tells me it is mouted as 777,
nosuid, noguid, but none of my other users can read that directory. Linuxconf. also
tells me it is 'User mountable' so why does bash stop me with 'permission denied'
Permissions of /mnt/DOS/ are d---------, but even root can't 'chmod' this to something
different.
Obviously there is some simple thing I'm missing.
Or in a roundabout way, how do I mount my DOS drive so all users can at least read
files off it??
thanks once again.
Steve
