Well I haven't been following the discussions about the SLUG rankings very
closely .. but as I understoode (sp?) it from the last post by Aussie - the
amount of bytes you post is directly proportional to your ranking (excuse this
post if i'm off here) .. well anyway .. if this is true then the ranking script
(or whatever) will have no way of distinguishing (no I dont think by
having it cut out the > characters will do the trick) between the things you
have posted, and the messages you have appended to your replies (as you do when
replying) therefore I could reply to a 50k thread and the ranking script would
record a post of 50k. I suppose if everyone will do their share of
replying it may even out, but still it's not that accurate. Some posters also
trim previous posts to make it nice and pretty !
Did anyone bring this up yet ? Not that I care about rankings, or anything :)
