It is like "alt-tab" window switching but for a terminal (xterm etc).
The main command to switch between screens is CTRL-A CTRL-A (yes that is twice).

Screen is the "driving force" to switch between session (shells) in ONE terminal
and this is very handy if you are not running in X mode.
