I believe that there's actually a bit of a problem with Mandrake 7/7.1
and the 3c509 driver. A few people on the Mandrake-Expert mailing list
have reported problems with it - have a look at

for some details. This bug report

details and a possible fix. I think also that the 'B' means this is a
P'n'P card you've got. Don't know if that might be causing problems.
