I recently did a really stupid job, which was to capture a printout to an Epson
printer on a PC, and convert the epson printer codes to a jpeg image. One
things that I found was that If you print the same image many times, the output is not
identical. The images always print ok, but the size of the print files varies.
I am not 100% convinced that what windows prints to file is exactly what goes
to the printer, although this is just a hunch.

I wrote a piece of software which will emulate what a printer does, and save
the results to file. If jyou want a copy, give me a bell

Cheers
