[SLUG] xdm server question

I have just recently installed RH 6.2 on a machine in my office. Apparently this
distribution starts up gdm instead of xdm. From a Windows workstation, I start
up Reflection X and cannot see this particular machine in the list of Unix
machines running xdm. Where can I go to learn how to configure this correctly?
Is gdm supposed to behave the same way as xdm?
