Have you tried to telnet to the unit and see if you can configure it OK or
not. Usually it's a good start to see if the thing actually works.

Subject: [SLUG] HP JetDirect problem [maybe OT]

I'm trying to get an HP JetDirect to work. I can ping the mother OK, but
as soon as I either send something to it with TCP lpr or try to telnet it
I see the TCP SYN packet go out and I immediately get back a TCP RST ACK
packet instead of the TCP SYN ACK I would expect.

When I run the HP Web JetAdmin software the card is discovered fine with
the SNMP protocol.

Any ideas?
