hi
Im looking for advice about backing up home networks regually.

It needs to be able to quickly copy a whole hard disk through a network
and store it safetly on my box.

The boxes are mainly winbloze so it has to be able to handle file names w/
spaces etc and NOT change them into %20 as it did last time arrg. I have
ruled out just using a web or ftp server because of speed and filename
problems. Are there any systems that dont open a new data connection for
each file as this dramiticly reduces speed..

I would like to use somthing like rsync but does it have windoes
versions. I looked for some binarys but couldent find any..

Is there any other method that only updates changes files etc and it needs
to be able to neatly put everything bak to where it was w/o changing file
permissions dates created etc.

I know there are many heavy duty back up programs for using w/ tape
archives etc but it would be quite nice if the filees were backed up as
they are and not put into an archive so i can selectivly restore w/
relitave ease.

Samba back up programs are a possibility but is there anything else as
some boxes are locked from sharing as they are setup for company
networks. so it would be nice if it didnt rely on shares.

thanks all
ghoti
