if we're doing stories about computers blowing up on you, my
one is: at a customer site, I'm using an ancient wyse terminal
when I can smell something burning, next minute smoke starts
coming out of the back vents on the wyse terminal, I leapt
up, dove under the desk and ripped out the power cord.
We then nervously waited a few minutes to see if all the
smoke/fire detection systems were going to activate,
they didn't.
