i did some google searching and found most people attribute experiences
like this to navigator...

no. :( the three fingered salute strips the task bar and desktop icons
as well as all windows but the background pattern was left behind... ?!?
i just gave up and rebooted, but when i did the background pattern seemed
to shift from side to side a few times as the machine took itself down...

i could login in okay... that's how i got the plea for help out... :)
top showed no processes running that i could point a finger at...

i only wish it had died that much... then i wouldn't have felt so bad
about the reboot:
