Hi, thanks for the replies, but I was looking for a
simple command to detach a process from its terminal
and reattach it onto the one I am currently on.
> Run it under screen.
Could anyone suggest specific options?
I tried:
screen -d 29719.pts/4.localhost
to detach pid 29719 from pts/4, but I get the message:
Must run suid root for multiuser support.
I do own the process, it's probably just the wrong
command. The situation is, I've left vi running on
another machine (emacs isn't even installed Gus :),
and I would like to re-enter the session remotely from
a new terminal.
Thanks for any help,
Alex
