I have been locked out of my system and was wondering if anyone could help.
I need to log on and retrieve files. I don't have console access, my partner
(soon to be ex) has changed the root passwd, and I can't get near the
machine.
I have my local account but no root access. I am trying to log on and
generate a root access. I have tried several ideas such as generating a core
dump when running screen and other utilities which would grant me root
access.
The system is running SuSe 6.3 over a dial up network. I cna provide my log
in name and password to someone willing to help.
