Well not quite. You now can make it known, should the opportunity arise,
that it causes you and the company trouble if people take it literally.
Most of these disclaimers are "crap" and the people who write them are
sloppy at best. An admin/prog who was as sloppy would soon be found out,
but most people are intimidated by the law and feel they can not
challenge the wording or the fact that the 'disclaimer' is even there,
so these "insurance policies" are posted everywhere.
Now a list of companies that add these would be something useful - "you
mail has been rejected because we do not accept your legal
threat/requirements".
