Hi all,

I was wondering, I have to fix a coimputer for my father comapny. IT is
simply a win95 reinstall, but i have a spare machine lying arounda t home,
and i'm sick of reinstalling these machines every 6 to 12 months.

So i am after suggestions for what would be useful suggestions as
replacements on a linux desktop for an M$ one.

Specifically, I was after a replacement for office, a replacement for a
browser (mozilla obviously ;) and a replacement for photoshop (not just
the gimp).

The catch is I don;t wish to pay for anything. So it has to be all gpl'd,
or at least free beer'd, and i have a copy of win4lin already so i might
put that on there for apps i was stuck with.

I would also like replacements for the windows file sharing
stuff. Obviously samba on the machine, but it needs a nice interface like
Network Neighbourhood.

I was merely after people sexperiecnes with different things.

I think the guys would like another machine, and as long as it will work
in conjunction with the exisiting stuff I think i might even be able to
get them to switch :)

Jason
