I agree.. (sort of)

PLEASE don't use BlueJ or Blue. Use real languages. I know the old adage
about teaching a man to fish and giving him fish etc.. and teaching the
principles behind programming etc.. but do that using a language that is
"usable" like Python. A myriad of  sources I've seen have recommended it and
from what I've looked at it looks like the good. Hell if you do I might even
enrol :-)

Then follow it up with a "mass market" langauge like Java, C++, C, Perl,
Whatever takes you fancy and u know. Java and C++ seem to be the trend at
unis and the like ATM but IMNSHO Perl seems to be the one in most demand and
the most verstaile (No comments from you Rodos :-)) but as always YMMV.

And there's always OOPerl :-)
