Hi All,
As Rodos wrote below wire-ring binding is far better than
glued splines. I have made several training manuals for cave
surveying (via LaTeX -> ps -> my own printer -> commercial
binder) and being able to lay open the page is essential.
You will find that many people have their own ring binders,
usually plastic, but sometimes wire. It's something that
SLUG may wish to consider as training manuals such as I have
made cost about $5.00 all up inc binding (but excl. my time
and effort to write the things!) but their perceived worth
is more so can be sold for a small profit.
Small manuals might be sold to newbies at Install/Security
Fests etc. Eg step-by-step guide to securing a home dialup
RedHat box, $10.00.
