Perhaps not ADSL, but you can certainly run what Telstra called "PAPL"
provided the distances are short enough.

You _can_ get up to 2 Mb/s down a two wire service at up to 2500 metres -
if you're really lucky. Mind you, the muxes to DO this are hideously
expensive.
