If you ./configure --with-gettext
--with-aucexecdir=/usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin
--with-aucdatadir=/usr/local/httpd/auc
--with-aucgrdir=/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/auc/g
--with-aucnewsdir=/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/auc/newspaper
--with-aucetcdir=/etc/auc
--with-aucvardir=/var/auc
then AUC will be situated in the SuSE (7.0) default
linux file standard. Just for future reference
maybe as it doesn't directly answer your question.
