I actually wrote this before reading all the other posts and I was thinking
you were taking abit of a hammering LOL. But you handled it well. I was more
asking than rebuffing actually thinking there may have been something I
hadn't thought about. And I'm not sure about the others but I realised it
was just throwing ideas around just as my post was.

Absolutely, things like that and a games SIG will always be popular with the
newbies and they may even bring new members on their own into SLUG.

Absolutely, the only reason for the "official" thing is A) the guidelines
help people who might otherwise not know what they should do and B) more for
the money aspect as that's always something that should be treated a little
more seriously.  The co-ordinator thing was more a support network than any
"oversight" body.. Something to help the orgainsers get what they need in
the way of help from SLUG.

Personally I'd love to help more but distance is an issue (as currently
workload is) and while I might be able to come up with ideas or help out i
some way I'm still by no-ones definition any kind of expert or possibly even
fully competent..
