I think I listed Jobnet http://www.jobnet.com.au in my last post. Look there, there seems to be three entry level help desk jobs going around town at the moment. Hint, send your CV to every one/agency that offers one and follow through with a phone call to all about three hours later. Once someone tells you the company that the position is for, then you can have the pleasure of telling other agencies they are too late. ...snip.... > As experience is essential in acquiring a foot-hold in the IT industry, I > hope that their might be a work experience opportunity available. Personally, if they will not pay you, the experience will be of no use, apart from maybe demonstrating that your alarm clock works and that you can turn up on time every morning. To be an entry level helpdesk person, you need the ability to read, write and speak english and be a competent computer user, because sadly, all you really do is take messages. If you want to do work experience, look for work experience that is specific, e.g. cabling, scripting, perl, etc, otherwise you'll get crap. -- Terry Collins {:-)}}} Ph(02) 4627 2186 Fax(02) 4628 7861 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.woa.com.au WOA Computer Services <lan/wan, linux/unix, novell> "People without trees are like fish without clean water" -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://slug.org.au/lists/listinfo/slug
