There are some accounting/ERP apps that run on linux & windows eg
www.foxonlinux.com
It does cost but it handles AR,AP, CB, GL , runs on both windows and
X11 and is very thin client server(14.4 modem thin:-)). You can even
try it over the internet but you need port 6400 open on your firewall
etc.
Busness intelligence .... Don't know much about that....
