I have been trying out Mandrake 7.2 and have a small problem. When I
setup X I cannor get a picture. It recognises my card (S3 ViRGE/DX with
4Mb)correctly and my monitor (NEC 3FGe)is in the monitor list but I
cannot get a picture at any resolution. It just turns the monitor black
and sits there. The console will not change to any other with the usual
<ctrl><alt>Fn but the keyboard is not locked out. It is as if the screen
is there, but not visible.
Using the same settings with Xfree 3.3.6 I get a screen and all is
normal. Is this a bug in the 4.0.1 in Mandrake? Any Ideas?
