try setting the monitor to a generic or generic multisync and starting at
the minimum resolutions and scan rates. then if/when you get a picture
slowly increasing the resolutions. it's also important to put in the correct
vsync and hsync rates. you must be able to get these from the NEC website or
somewhere.
