That was me. 8) psql --help -> it's in there (and I'm sure it's -v, 'cos I
checked it on version 7 as I emailed you).

Most packaging systems will tell you, but if not, read the docs
(/usr/share/doc), try --help and all the -v -V --version strings, etc.
