Sluggers, I'm having a problem trying to get my Xircom 10/100 + 56K cardbus card working with Deb Potato & 2.4.*.... I've read through the doco and am still running into a brick wall - I'm sure its something simple. I'm using pcmcia-cs V3.1.24-2 and 2.4.2 kernel (though I've tried all other 2.4 releases). When the card is inserted I get the following message Mar 15 09:30:10 animal cardmgr[6095]: + Warning: /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drive rs/net/pcmcia/xircom_tulip_cb.o symbol for parameter reverse_probe not found I've had a lot of other errors too during the hours of playing. I've amended the /etc/pcmcia/config file to have the following entries : device "xircom_tulip_cb" class "network" module "cb_enabler", "xircom_tulip_cb" card "Xircom CBEM56G-100 CardBus 10/100 Ethernet + 56K Modem" version "Xircom", "*", "CBEM56G" bind "xircom_tulip_cb" to 0, "serial_cb" to 1 What I need to find out is (obviously) what I'm doing wrong. I've searched Google and drawn a blank. I've built the kernel with the PCMCIA drivers as modules and as built in kernel devices - with no change in the behaviour. Surely if its built into the kernel then it would detect it without problem??? (hopelessly optimistic ain't I?) I am sure the card works as I can use it under the default debian kernel (2.2.17 IIRC) and it works fine. I know there must be at least one slugger out there that can point me in the right direction.
