No. Anyone can roll their own email headers and contact
an SMTP server to do this. Read RFC 821 on SMTP and you'll see
how easy it is. Standard spammer technique.
Read the complete header of the email to track where the email actually
came from, i.e. the Received: headers which you normally do not see.
