Greetings All
I have tried to get help on some printing problems from the Linux
newsgroups, but my message keeps getting deleted so I thought I would try
here.
I am using Mandrake Linux on one of my computers. CUPS would not work at
all, so I went back to the old standard LPD. My problem is that it will only
print as the root user, not as a normal user. I have set all the permissions
as set down in the Printing HOWTO and set 'dev/printer' to group - users
and mode 660.
Can anyone help? I am getting quite frustrated at not being able to print as
a normal user.
