I have got a network printer.

I have a Linux box with the network printer defined as a remote printer
and the Linux box prints to the network printer - no probs.

The Linux box runs Samba and shares out the printer spool thru the
[printers] section in smb.conf

I have a Windows box which can see the network printer that is shared out
by the Linux box, but can't print to it, saying that there is an
"...unknown system error..." and suggesting that I reboot Windows
(Humph..).

When I sniff the traffic I can see the NBT traffic between the Win box and
the Lin box, but what I am seeing between the Lin box and the printer is
traffic just as if I had run lpq on the Lin box, with the return message
from the printer being "No entries". What I would expect to see is the
traffic from the Lin box to the printer.

Any clues on offer out there?
