I think that's right, but MPEG-2 is the one that goes up to
5 main audio channels (according to an MPEG FAQ I found).
mp3 just refers (I thought) to mpeg layer 3 - ie. the 
level of compression achieved, I didn't think mp3 meant
mpeg 1 or 2.
