... many and varied ways around this (the Smarty template engine is a pretty
well-built method), HOWEVER, PHP still SUCKS.

* Zero exception handling. Outrageous semantic problems making this very
  noticable.

* Error reporting like an autistic mute sucking a ChupaChup.

* Boneheaded, inflexible modules of functions, not objects.

* Really grody platform; close to non-existant. ASP (though proprietary) is
  better!

I'm sure there's more, but none of them really top the, "we didn't need PHP
in the first place" argument. :)
