Edit /etc/ppp/options (not totally needed but makes life a lil easier)
edit /etc/ppp/pap-secrets (or chap-secrets)
edit /etc/ppp/ppp.chatscript
then run
/usr/sbin/pppd connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -r /etc/ppp/report-chat -f
/etc/ppp/ppp.chatscript"
works for me ;)
