Hey all,
So to cut a long story short, I went to remove KDE and install Ximian
GNOME on my Debian unstable laptop, and I'm having an annoying little
problem that prevents this installation from finishing.
I'll take this afternoon as an example, I went to apt-get install dict,
which went fine, then I get a whole lot of output starting with:
Setting up sawfish (0.38-ximian.3) ...
install-info: failed to lock dir for editing! Operation not permitted
dpkg: error processing sawfish (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
The rest is essentially a further 15 packages complaining that sawfish
isn't yet configured, so they can't configure/install.
Thanks in advance,
- Andrew
