This is your third repost, and still you provide no useful information.

*sigh*

First of all, tell us which distro you're running... with which
kernel? Some details about your installation would also be helpful
(hardware, if you used a stock install set, which options, etc). If
you're not running on i386 systems, what architecture are you running
on?

Tell us about what isn't working. How is it using the IP stack?
Exactly what parts of it aren't working? How do you know they're not
working? What/How should the programs be interacting. Have you run a
packet capture on the host and on the LAN to see whats happening?

You speak of "Security and TCP/IP" extensions, please give actual
information as to what you needed to disable to make things
work/not-work.

The chances are that you've been caught out by the changes in RH 7.1's
network configuration (which now is more secure by default, and
includes some firewall configuration), and not specifically a kernel
change. But this is mere speculation since you have failed to provide
us with useful information.

If you're serious about getting some answers, please give us some
information which we can use to help you.
