Do you by chance use KDE ?
I've found alot of software will just sit there waiting for artsd to free
before
it will finish loading. Mozilla is one of these. One solution is to make the
artsd
timeout very small. The way i do it (crude hack) is to use 'artsplay' to run
mozilla. (i think it's artsplay).
That way it always comes up.
