Hi there Jobst, I've got a customer with that option (router). North Sydney with connect.com.
I agree it's a waste of money, but I will say, their ADSL link has been down twice in four months. I put it down to the fact that connect have their own equipment and aren't using Telstra's. I use Pacific Internet with an Alcatel ADSL modem and Telstra equipment in the exchange. I use Roaring Penguin for the PPPoe. It (the link) sucks. It goes down more times than a (insert crude alusion here). Well anyway, it goes down a lot and is very frustrating. So I wonder, is it all the exchange?
