I've run win2k with vmware. I was running it on a PIII-500 with 192MB RAM.

It depends what you want to do with it I guess. I was just using it to run
IE, and it was perfectly adequate for my needs in that configuration. It was
running IE about as fast as linux was running mozilla at the time (in fact
it was a little bit faster).

I could be mistaken but I was under the impression that win2k wouldn't run
with win4lin.

I hope that helped. Does anyone know how good WINE is these days? it would
be really nice to be able to run IE and a couple of other misceallaneous
programs against WINE rather than using a whole virtual machine.
