i understand the rationale for going with an external modem, but i wanted to contain as much cabling as possible. i picked up a lucent pci winmodem from everythinglinux.com.au for A$60 or so which works really well with red hat 7+ they also sell a more expensive pci modem which is not a winmodem, but i took a chance on the lucent one and it worked without a hitch. i found the driver via http://www.linmodems.org/ and http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
