I had found that and it is set to Helvetica 12 but it sure isn't like it
used to be :-)

The display of html content etc is using the right fonts and look good,
it's just the system menus etc.

Anywhere else I could look?

There used to be a setting for a meta-theme but that's gone in the
latest ximian control-panel (no doubt it will come back!).
